USA GYMNASTICS KANSAS STATE ADMINISTRATIVE COMMITTEE

October 10, 2009



The meeting was called to order at 10:00am by Mark Folger.

Board members present were: Dan Bruring, Gerald Carley, Annie Heffernon, Mark Folger, Cathy Knott, Sheri Turek, Jennifer Flores,

Kim Lauderdale, Mary McDaniel, David Sakamura



1. James Sampel will stay the Kansas Safety Certifier - $600 from KS USAG to cover his expenses.

2. Motion to use Steve Glickley to develop the women’s KS USAG web site with a budget of no more than $500/year. In exchange for maintaining the web site, the site will be shared with men’s KS USAG.

3. Discussion about clinic ideas for 2010. More information will be coming soon.



4. Motion for competition fees to be $2.00 per gymnast. (This is the fee sent to USAG Kansas for each girl competing in a sanctioned meet).

5. Motion for level 9 age groups for KS State Championships as follows:

a. Less than 16 girls – 2 age groups

b. 17-23 girls – 3 age groups

c. More than 24 girls – 4 age groups

6. Motion to leave the decision regarding Level 10 Age Groups for State to the meet director of the State Championships.

7. Motion to not have sectional meets

8. Motion that Levels 4-10 be included in the Kansas State Championships.

9. Motion for Kansas State Championships qualifying scores to be:

a. Level 4 – 28.00

b. Levels 5 & 6 – 30.00

c. Levels 7,8,9,10 – 32.00

d. Specialists (level 9 and 10 only) – 9.0

10. Motion for top 3 scores per event count toward team score at the Kansas State Championships.

11. Motion for Kansas State Championship Entry fees be as follows:

a. Levels 7,8,9,10 - $85.00 per gymnast

b. Levels 4,5,6 - $70.00 per gymnast

c. February 24 will be last date to receive the $2.00 discount for early registration.

12. Motion for drop-back date be Monday, February 15, 2010.

13. Motion for NO Open Scoring at Kansas State Championships. Will flash start values for Levels 8,9,10.

14. State Meet bids for 2011 are due at the 2010 State Meet. Please submit all bids to Mark Folger on or before that date. Mail to: USAG Kansas, 920 N. Andover Rd., Andover, Ks. 67002 or email to folgersgym@aol.com.



15. Motion to keep NAWGJ as the judging assigning agency for Kansas Meets.

16. To determine judges for the KS State Championships, the level 7-10 judges will be ranked during the pre-season based on their judging applications. The top nine applicants, based on the vote of the KS USAC, will be the judges for the level 7,8,9, and 10 State Championships. The top ranked judge will be the Meet Referee.

17. To determine judges for the KS State Championships, the level 4-6 judges will be ranked based on their judging applications which are due by February 15, 2010. The top eight applicants, based on the vote of the KS USAG SAC, will be the judges for the level 4,5 and 6 State Championships.
